The Broseley Wood Charity is a small charity which works to assist groups and individuals within the parishes of Broseley and Barrow and was formed by the amalgamation of two smaller charities. The Charity, which is registered with the Charity Commission, is administered by unpaid volunteers, called trustees who meet at least twice a year to make decisions about the awarding of grants and the running of the Charity. A Chair and Vice-chair are appointed by their fellow trustees.
From time to time the charity requires new trustees who fulfil the requirements of the Governance Document:
“Trustees shall be persons who through residence, occupation, employment or otherwise have special knowledge of the area of Broseley, Benthall, Barrow or Jackfield.”
Trustees also have to confirm that they are not in-eligible for specified legal reasons.
The day-to-day administration is handled by one of the trustees (Secretary/Treasurer) who can be contacted throughout the year.
