The Charity aims to provide modest assistance to individuals and groups within the parishes of Barrow and Broseley. The assistance for individuals is targeted at those needing help with necessary equipment or specialist clothing whilst pursuing educational courses. The trustees, who are all unremunerated, usually meet to consider applications twice a year.

In 2025, the trustees will be looking to appoint a new trustee who will be willing to take on the administration work of the charity and would welcome applications from anyone who would like to take on this role. Trustees must be either resident within the parishes or have a strong interest in the commercial, social or educational life of the area.
